GuardX

A cyber recruitment brand
trying to breakthrough.

GuardX wanted to enter the cyber security recruitment space with confidence. As a startup, having something visual to catch the eye of a client or candidate can go a long way.

From Start to Finish

With the entirety of the brand in my hands I dedicated extra time to research and planning. Finding inspiration and getting a feel for the cyber security industry was crucial, showing me that it can’t be put in a box.

A word the client repeated was ‘techy’, for me, in relation to this brand, ‘techy’ means something with depth, edgy but not averse to a touch of softness, and movement.

Cutting the logo

During the discovery phase of the project the client was very interested in a logo that had an abstract way to it. The type having cut-outs and some white-space felt like the best way to bring mystery and dynamism.

Varying degrees of cut-severity were explored, as well as the type of cut. Ultimately a logo that had subtle cut-outs and favoured legibility was chosen.

One-pager

At the beginning of the website design I was given an outline of what kind of content the client requires, and the freedom to add on more.

When I design a one-page website I want to avoid the user being left wanting more information but given nowhere else to go. It is also your one shot to impress.

Custom illustrations, adding emphasis to what might usually be a small section, and animation were key players for the site.
